WEDDING FOOD AND DRINK
The Bird in Hand professional team can cater for a size of wedding from 12 up to 120. Our accomplished chefs are committed to sourcing only the freshest local produce for your wedding feast. From lavish wedding breakfasts to informal buffets, we can produce menus for every occasion. With a dedicated Events Manager, we can help you choose from one of our exclusive wedding menus and drinks packages or you can consult the chef and create your own.
GUEST ACCOMMODATION AND GROUNDS
Surrounded by the beautiful scenery and rolling countryside of the Cotswolds, this Grade II listed building is made of traditional local stone and slate and boasts beautiful original features. Typical of the region, the Bird in Hand was originally constructed in the traditional manner in the 17th century. Today, the inn has been totally renovated, but is still rich in original charm and gorgeous period features, such as natural Cotswold stone and heavy wooden beams. A perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.
There are a variety of sizes and venues to choose from. Our Lower Dining Room can hold up to 12 people, our Windrush room can hold up to 40 people. A Marquee can be erected on the lawn which is capable of seating up to 120 people. The hotel provides a unique environment which can be exclusively yours for the day. We actively encourage guests to book accommodation at the hotel thus creating a lovely, exclusive wedding party.
Each of the bedrooms has its own unique, individual warmth and character. The oldest room is the heart of the hotel. The huge inglenook fireplace blazes away with enormous logs during the cold winter nights and during the hot summer season, the hearth is decorated with a display of local flowers.
WEDDING PACKAGE
Your wedding day will be unique, but you will probably want it to include some traditional and finishing touches. The Wedding Package can include:
- Our Events Managers assistance from booking stage to the big day, and after!
- Personal welcome on arrival
- Paper napkins to match you colour scheme
- Drinks reception on arrival (optional extra)
- Table Plan, Name Cards and Personalised Menus
- Half bottle of Red or White Wine per guest served with the meal (optional extra)
- A glass of sparkling wine to toast the Newlyweds (optional extra)
- Complimentary upgrade overnight accomodation for the Bride and Groom
(Please note that any extras, marquees, table and chair hire, special flower arrangements, music and entertainment are at your own cost, but we are happy to assist with the sourcing of these items if required. It's our job to make sure that your reception includes all the elements you wish and our team are here to help you with any advice or information.)
